Other than magnificent landscapes and rich culture, Argentina is a country in which to enjoy fine wines and great food. Known for its famous barbecues and extensive meat-eating habits, beef is a prominent component in the Argentinian diet, placing Argentina in the 2 top countries in the world for most meat consumption per capita. 

Nonetheless, there are many things to try other than beef, like small traditional pastries called Empanadas, sweet facturas, traditional cakes, dishes inspired from the Italian cuisine, and a plethora of locally grown, luscious, fresh fruit and vegetables.
