Hong Kong and Bali with my husband and 3 kids!

Bali has always been on my bucket list and boy did I stay in some cool hotels! I routed through Hong Kong on a great deal. You can read all about the hotels and my experiences below! 21-23 March. GREAT VALUE FOR HONG KONG! Modern hotel in an up and coming neighborhood the hotel provide frequent courtesy shuttles to Kowloon, The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with great views of Hong kong.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The pool was closed for the winter whilst we were there but I got a chance to take a look its a great area with lots of room to chill. They offer a lot of facilities a gym and sauna.

Great value for money the metro will be running there early next year but don't let that put you off the shuttle service is great and taxi's are cheap

23-27 March. WOW. Gorgeous hotel in the middle of the jungle but close to everything in Ubud they offer a complimentary shuttle every hour. We were greeted with a delicious fruity welcome drink and taken to our gorgeous garden pool villa which the Maya were kind enough to upgrade us for free.

The room is spacious with a beautiful garden and plunge pool, there is an outdoor shower, and a bathroom fit for a king. The hotel is so relaxing and they have many activities including daily Yoga at the fitness center.

We had dinner at their restaurant and the meal was amazing breakfast is a buffet style and there is so much delicious food to choose from. The two pools were beautiful as was the view from them both and we enjoyed 4 days in this amazing resort

25 March. ANOTHER WOW. We spent a wonderful day here at the Alila Ubud the hotel is away from it all with courtesy shuttles to and from town. The pool is gorgeous and overlooks the Ayung river.

The restaurant Plantation serves up delicious Balinese cuisine we got to sample the food it was so good we got the Balinese sampler plate (8 dishes), I got to see their rooms which were all tastefully decorated and very spacious.

They have a spa onsite which offers wonderful relaxing massages and other treatments the couples massage outdoors is the best.

27-30 March. IDYLLIC ISLAND. Just a short ferry ride (90 mins on the fast ferry) from Padang Bai is the beautiful island of Gili meno, the Kura Kura resort is close to the ferry terminal on a gorgeous white sandy beach. They have everything you need the rooms are spacious with a great walk in shower.

The pool area is very relaxing and nice to cool off after a great day at the beach or snorkeling. Heni was amazing she arranged our snorkeling tour and was there for us with any tips and questions. We had breakfast every morning there and also one dinner this resort is a must go to and the price can't be beat.

The island is very small and there are no cars or motorcycles on the island, A real paradise you won't want to leave

30 March - 02 April. ALL HAPPENING HERE. A big difference from Gili Meno this hotel is right across from the Beach in Kuta a busy town with lots of bars shopping and restaurants. We had a great time here so much to see and do in the hotel. The kids loved it so many fun activities and a kids club for all ages.

The pool is the largest in Bali and there is always something fun going on. We spent our days relaxing having a cocktail or 2 (happy hour 2-6pm every day) The food was amazing in the Starz Diner we ate there twice for dinner and the breakfast was included in the great rate.

The staff were so nice and always remembered my name which for such a large resort is a nice touch. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable they allowed us a later check out which was great appreciated.
