The true Panama experience that will take you to all of the most important sites and monuments of Panama. The experience is completed by a visit to an indigenous village of the Emberá Indian community, where you will learn about their culture and customs, and taste their traditional food.

Day One

Arrival at Tocumen International Airport in Panama. Meet and greet and transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel of your choice in Panama City.

Day Two

After breakfast at the hotel the day begins with a tour of Portobelo, visiting the Gatún sluices: At the Gatún sluices you can observe how they function and at the same time you will receive an ample explanation of the operating system of the Panama Canal. Then you will continue, through a walkway in the Panama canal bed to the historic World Heritage Site San Lorenzo Fort, the place where the pirate Henry Morgan caught the city defenders off guard and looted the old city, following the Camino de Cruces. After lunch, you have free time to spend at your leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel of your choice in Panama City.

Day Three

After breakfast at the hotel you will begin an Adventure Tour: You will visit the Emberá Indian community. On this tour you will experience a canoe trip on the Chagres River that will take you to an indigenous village of the Emberá community where you will have the chance to experience their traditional customs, dances, food and handicrafts.  Then you will visit the French cemetery that will show you the effort that was put in by the workers in their aim to build the Panama Canal through the isthmus.  You will also see part of the Camino the cruces, the legendary route used to transfer the treasures between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. You will pass the Centennial Bridge that crosses the Panama Canal at its narrowest point.

Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to visit the impressive Panama Canal sluices of the ship canal that cuts across the Isthmus of Panama at its narrowest point and forms the inter-oceanic waterway between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. To finish the day on a high, you will visit the Amador Causeway, one of the most visited places in the city offering a diversity of restaurants, bars, discos, and a picturesque pavement where the locals go for a walk, jogging or a bike ride. It also offers fantastic views of the entrance to the Panama Canal and the Centennial Bridge, as well as over the city and the Panama Bay. Overnight stay at the hotel of your choice in Panama City.

Day Four

After breakfast at the hotel you will set off for a Panoramic City tour: Panamá la Vieja Museum - Ruins, Balboa Monument and Cerro Ancón. You will go back in time to the era when Panama lived in splendour and you will get to know its history when it was the biggest city in the Pacific region. Next you visit the Balboa monument, dedicated to a Spanish entrepreneur, who with the help of the locals spotted the first sighting of a new ocean, named the Pacific Ocean, hereby creating awareness of the old continent. Your visit continues towards Cerro Ancón where you will contemplate the splendour of Panama with marvellous panoramic views of the old colonial cities, as well as the modern part of the city.

You will then go for a Shopping Tour: You will visit the handicraft market where you can see and buy local handicraft and typical souvenirs of your stay in Panama City from the brightly coloured needlework designs called “molas” to the famous Panama hats. When leaving you will have the choice of 3 major shopping centres in the city: Albrook Mall, Multicentro, and Metromall o Multiplaza. Overnight stay at the hotel of your choice in Panama City.

Day Five

Return transfer from your hotel to Tocumen International Airport for your departing flight.
