What do these rates mean?

* STV Super Specials are STV's usual SUPER Discounted Special rates, GENUINELY and STRICTLY ONLY available for TRAVEL INDUSTRY Employees resident globally, and are classified as an Employee Benefit. (Available to Airline, Travel Agent, Tour Operator, ATC & Airport Handling Agent Employees)

* You must be a Travel Industry Employee and you must be registered with STV (Free) to be able to book our STV Super Special rates.

* Minimum one Travel Industry Employee per room. You are required to present your I.D. / proof of employment on check-in.

* There is no limit to the number of bookings per year you can book (unless stated otherwise)

* Friends and Family cannot book STV Super Special Rates. They can accompany you but must stay in the same room as you (some hotels permit an extra room for Friends & Family and if so this will be stated on the hotel page, but you must always be included in the booking and be staying at the hotel).

* PAYMENT & CANCELLATION: With STV Super Special rates you only need to pay a very small refundable deposit within 14 days of making your booking, or right away if travelling short notice, and the main balance of the booking is paid direct to the hotel, usually on check-in. It is FREE to cancel or amend dates for your booking, often right up to and including the day of check-in, making these rates great for standby travelers (see each hotels payment & cancellation terms). When you make a booking request with STV Super Special rates and it is confirmed, you do not need to go ahead with the booking and can cancel immediately without paying a deposit if you wish.

* Remember STV Super Special Rates are only available for Airline & Travel Industry Employees as an employee benefit and are the lowest rates you will ever find.

This means you choose your hotel and Super Special rate and submit your booking request through our website and you will receive a response back from the hotel as soon as possible. Because the rate is so highly discounted, the hotel 1st needs to check if they have enough spare rooms to agree to let you pay these exclusive Travel Industry Employee rates. The hotels will often reply to you the same day but be prepared to wait up to 24-48 hours ~ It's worth it!

Enjoy St. Lucia’s White Sand Beaches
Fond Doux provides guests with the best of both worlds: the privacy and relaxation of the rainforest with access to the white sand beach. A St. Lucia vacation isn’t complete without a dip in the Caribbean Sea, which is why we have a free beach shuttle service available to all guests. Our beach shuttle goes to Sugar Beach, a pristine white sand beach in Soufriere a short 15 minute drive away. Our private shuttle leaves daily at 10am with pickup at 2pm or 4pm, depending on your preference. Please be advised that guests are required to reserve a pickup time.

Eco Tourism at Fond Doux

Protecting our St. Lucian Land and Heritage

Eroline and Lyton developed the concept of Eco- Tourism long before it became a worldwide trend. Apart from the cocoa trees much of the land is harvested and what is grown used in their two restaurants. A snap shot of produce includes coconut, love apple, cherries, golden apple, tamarind, plum, avocado, soursop, star fruit, mangoes, dasheen, cocoa, coffee, oranges, grapefruit, breadfruit, lettuce, broccoli, Chinese cabbage, corn, sweet peppers, cabbage, carrots, guava, plantain and banana, not to mention the array of tropical flowers and trees. All the cottages were built without machinery and excavated by shovel so as not to disturb Nature. Many of the cottages were built around or incorporated the trees as a feature. Being certified both an Organic Plantation and a member of Green Globe, this rubber stamped the Lamontagne’s commitment to the environment. Add to this the saving historic buildings, water and power conservation, it is little wonder that England’s Prince Charles and Camilla visited the estate in 2008, with the environment so close to the Prince’s heart.

If you only need one bedroom during your vacation in St. Lucia, but are looking for more space, our resort’s Deluxe 1 Bedroom Cottage is quite a bit larger than the 1 Bedroom Cottages and is better set-up for self-catering. It offers two levels, with a living room, dining room, outdoor kitchen, and bathroom on the main floor, plus a spacious master bedroom and second bathroom on the upper floor.

There are 2 two-bedroom cottages at our resort, crafted by local artisans and ideal for families or friends who are traveling to St. Lucia together. On our Fond Doux Heritage Tour guests receive a guided walking tour of our expansive property, learning about local vegetation and the rich history of the land.

Fond Doux Plantation & Resort is a 135-acre, locally owned and operated, award-winning resort located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Soufriere. The plantation is over 250 years old, with captivating history around every turn. Fond Doux has retained the character of the early French colonial estate as one of the earliest estates established by the French on the lands granted by the Royal decrees of 1745 and 1764.

Situated amongst cocoa groves, guests will not only smell chocolate throughout the tour but will also have the opportunity to participate in processing chocolate. Learn about cocoa harvesting, cocoa drying, and even the famous cocoa dancing.
