The USA is divided into several distinct geographical defined by both geography and culture. When you pass from one region to another, it’s almost like moving between countries (other than the stars and stripes on every flagpole.)

Central and Southern States & Puerto Rico​

History buffs won’t want to miss a chance to see Revolutionary and Civil War sites in the deep South, while culture vultures will love big cities like Chicago. Partygoers might find their perfect trip among the many bars on Bourbon Street in New Orleans historic French Quarter.

Beach and nature lovers will find their perfect vacation spot on the island of Puerto Rico with its diverse ecosystem conjuring up an unbelievable array of rainforest, mountains, and miles upon miles of white sand beaches.

Road Trippers

America is the land of the open road. The explosion of affordable cars in Post-WWII America led to a boom in interstates and highways crisscrossing the country. With so many remote destinations reachable only by car, a road trip is one of the best ways to see the true America. 

Historic Route 66 spans over 2,400 miles and crosses 8 states, starting in Chicago, Illinois and finishing on the West Coast in Santa Monica, California. This well-travelled highway, has been bringing people together for the ultimate road trip since 1926.

Good Eats

Gone are the days when American food meant a cheese burger and large order of fries. Today, culinary innovators are creating incredible new concoctions in small towns and big cities alike, leading to a new “foodie” culture that’s a true treat for any visitor.

No matter where you choose to visit in the U.S., there’s a local or regional delicacy you absolutely must try. Variations on pizza and hotdogs play a big part in Chicago’s cuisine, where pizza crusts are deep-dish thick and hotdogs are topped with a “salad” of pickles, tomatoes, onions, and more.

Down South, enjoy soul food like grits and collard greens, pecan pie, and sweet tea, or savor the Cajun spices of French-influenced New Orleans.

One of the best ways to experience Puerto Rican culture is to indulge in their unique cuisine. “Cocina criolla”, as the locals call it, draws from Spanish, African, Taíno, and American influences, using such indigenous seasonings and ingredients as coriander, papaya, cacao, plantains, and yampee. Soups are a traditional part of Puerto Rican meals, especially the famous sopón de pollo con arroz—or chicken and rice soup—and a beloved frijoles negros​
