WELCOME TO AN ISLAND PARADISE
Soft sand beaches, swaying palm trees and crystal clear waters… Saint Lucia is the epitome of a Caribbean paradise. Visitors to this lush, tropical island can admire the twin peaks of the Pitons, explore the island’s rainforest, or simply relax on the golden beaches of the Caribbean coast.
Explore the local beaches and the surrounding area, including Rodney Bay and Pigeon Island, with a lift from the resort’s shuttle bus for a nominal fee. The bus also runs regularly throughout the day to Castries, approximately a 15-minute drive away. We recommend taking the bus rather than walking as the hotel is set on a steep hill with no pavement. Bel Jou Hotel is approximately a 1 ½ hour drive from Hewanorra International Airport.
Experience adventure and wonder on any of the following excursions during your stay with us in Saint Lucia! Simply enquire with the Tour Desk at Guest Services and they can assist you with booking.
Castries And Pigeon Island
Take the opportunity on this excursion to combine shopping and history as you tour the city of Castries. Visit the Cathedral and the Derek Walcott Square before heading to the bustling Castries Market.
From here, head north to Pigeon Island, one of St. Lucia’s national landmarks. If you feel adventurous, you may like to trek up to Fort Rodney, or just sit and enjoy some cool refreshments.
Beautiful South And Les Pitons
Enjoy a scenic bus ride along the West Coast to Soufrière to visit the world’s only volcano where you can drive almost into the crater itself. Next you will visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens’ waterfall and mineral baths, followed by an enjoyable Creole buffet lunch.
Then, board a catamaran for a cruise along the coastline and view the majestic twin peaks, Les Pitons along the way. Take a swim or snorkel in Anse Cochon and enjoy the beauty of Marigot Bay before returning listening to Caribbean music along the way.
Sail into the sunset as you cruise in the waters around the island. Complimentary rum punch and soft drinks are provided along with tasty finger foods, whilst you sit back and enjoy the pulsating sounds of the live steel band.
Whale And Dolphin Watching
Sail from Castries aboard a 20-metre Defender sightseeing boat and set off for a location approximately 5km off shore. Satellite navigation will be used to follow the settings along the seabed shelf and a hydrophone will also be used to listen for the marine mammals and locate their direction.
The waters in St. Lucia have over 40 different species of whale and dolphins but as you will appreciate, sightings can never be guaranteed. During your cruise you will be offered an unlimited supply of soft drinks, beer, fruit or rum punch.
Gros Islet Friday Night Street Party
Experience the spirit of island life at St. Lucia’s longest running street party, the Gros Islet Friday Night Jump Up. Here you will experience freshly caught seafood & other casual street fare, rum punches & beer, local crafts & goods, and mingling and dancing with the locals all night to live music.
