What do these rates mean?

* STV Super Specials are STV's usual SUPER Discounted Special rates, GENUINELY and STRICTLY ONLY available for TRAVEL INDUSTRY Employees resident globally, and are classified as an Employee Benefit. (Available to Airline, Travel Agent, Tour Operator, ATC & Airport Handling Agent Employees)

* You must be a Travel Industry Employee and you must be registered with STV (Free) to be able to book our STV Super Special rates.

* Minimum one Travel Industry Employee per room. You are required to present your I.D. / proof of employment on check-in.

* There is no limit to the number of bookings per year you can book (unless stated otherwise)

* Friends and Family cannot book STV Super Special Rates. They can accompany you but must stay in the same room as you (some hotels permit an extra room for Friends & Family and if so this will be stated on the hotel page, but you must always be included in the booking and be staying at the hotel).

* PAYMENT & CANCELLATION: With STV Super Special rates you only need to pay a very small refundable deposit within 14 days of making your booking, or right away if travelling short notice, and the main balance of the booking is paid direct to the hotel, usually on check-in. It is FREE to cancel or amend dates for your booking, often right up to and including the day of check-in, making these rates great for standby travelers (see each hotels payment & cancellation terms). When you make a booking request with STV Super Special rates and it is confirmed, you do not need to go ahead with the booking and can cancel immediately without paying a deposit if you wish.

* Remember STV Super Special Rates are only available for Airline & Travel Industry Employees as an employee benefit and are the lowest rates you will ever find.

* True Airline & Travel Industry Employee rates are known as ON REQUEST. This means you choose your hotel and Super Special rate and submit your booking request through our website and you will receive a response back from the hotel as soon as possible. Because the rate is so highly discounted, the hotel 1st needs to check if they have enough spare rooms to agree to let you pay these exclusive Travel Industry Employee rates. The hotels will often reply to you the same day but be prepared to wait up to 24-48 hours ~ It's worth it!

* BEWARE of other Interline/Agency companies telling you they offer Genuine Airline & Travel Industry Employee rates with 'immediate confirmation'! This is simply not true, and you are being misled. Hotels need to manually check their availability for Genuine Travel Industry employee rates and this can take 1-2 days. This is why they are known as ON REQUEST rates.

Accommodation

With twenty-four guest rooms & suites in five different categories, this quaint hotel offers a personalised service.

The addition of contemporary furnishings and décor to the property has enhanced the overall hotel aesthetic and effectively maintained the uniqueness of character and charm that is the Island Inn Hotel.

All rooms have air-conditioning, alarm clock, complimentary in-room safe, direct dial telephone, 32” LCD cable television with remote control, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, Tea/coffee making facilities, daily housekeeping service & beach towels.

Standard Garden / Courtyard

Standard Garden rooms are located in the original historic building of the hotel with the old exposed brick set in a rich soft stone mortar. The original wooden corridor accesses them and offers a view of the eastern gardens. Maximum occupancy 2 adults or 1 adult 1 child.

All rooms are non-smoking. In October 2010, legislation was passed in Barbados prohibiting smoking in public areas. Smoking is permitted in limited areas around the hotel.

Superior Garden

Superior Garden rooms are located throughout the hotel. Three of them are located in the original historic building (one on the garden side and two on the courtyard side) while the other six are located in the southern block of the hotel. They have garden or courtyard views. Maximum occupancy 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years.

Superior Pool Side

Superior Poolside Rooms are located in the southern block. They have walk-out access to the hotel pool.Maximum occupancy 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child under 12 years.

Dining

The Boardwalk Restaurant

The Boardwalk Restaurant at Island Inn Hotel is renowned locally for its sumptuous fare. Offering an eclectic blend of local and international cuisine, our experienced chefs are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

Breakfast

For the corporate guests or the early risers, a continental spread is available from  7:00 a.m. Continental breakfast includes a selection of fruit juices, seasonal fresh fruit, dry cereals, assorted pastries, tea and coffee. Daily buffet breakfast is available from 7:30 a.m. and offers a variety of hot dishes including bacon, eggs and sausages. Breakfast is served until    10:00 a.m. Dress code is casual.

Lunch

There are five table d’hôte lunch days and two buffet lunch days (Tuesdays and Sundays). The Boardwalk Restaurant offers the opportunity to enjoy the best of local and Caribbean cuisine. Lunch is served from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Dress code is casual. Cover- ups required.

Should guests wish to take a trip during the day or just lay by the beach, a picnic basket can be prepared in lieu of having lunch at the hotel. 24 hours advance notice is required.

Afternoon tea

Traditional English afternoon tea is served from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A variety of sandwiches, pastries, and assorted teas are available.

Dinner

An array of Caribbean and international fusions are offered nightly. Wednesday and Friday nights are buffet nights, while all other nights are table d’hôte. Dinner is served from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. No shorts or slippers are allowed. Men must wear shirts with sleeves. Live entertainment is provided on some evenings.

The bar is open from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm daily. No shorts or cargo pants are allowed in the restaurant for dinner.  Smart jeans are acceptable.  Shirts with sleeves must be worn.  Cover-ups are required for lunch.

Facilities & Amenities

Beach

While the hotel is not on the beachfront, it is a two-minute walk from the beautiful beach at Carlisle Bay. Should guests choose to enjoy the glorious sunshine on the pristine white sand beach, it is recommended that hats and mats are taken as sun protection is not provided.

Entertainment

Live entertainment is provided during dinner three nights per week.  The hotel is within 15 minutes of various nightclubs including The Boatyard , Harbour Lights, and St. Lawrence Gap, which offers many options.

Lounge

Now located in the central courtyard, the air-conditioned, glass-enclosed lounge is available for those moments when guests would prefer to watch a game of football or cricket on the television with others or enjoy a quiet game of draughts or chess. The lounge is available 24 hours and provides the ideal environment for guests to relax and unwind.

Pool

The pool is located to the rear of the property and is set against a cascading fountain. At night the fountain lights up and magically transforms the area. Lounge chairs are available along the pool deck for guests to relax and enjoy a cold refreshing beverage of choice.
