We invite you to discover this everyday river life on board our sampans. You can choose between private and join-in cruises, ranging from a few hours to 1, 2 or 3 days.


Our Fleet

All our sampans are designed as authentic traditional Mekong Delta boats using natural materials such as rattan, bamboo and exotic wood. Most of our cruises depart from or return to Cai Be, about 2 hours from Ho Chi Minh City and 1h30 from Can Tho. Other cruises start from Vinh Long, Can Tho or Long Xuyen. Discreet and attentive, our crew takes care of your every needs as you travel along the river.

Mekong Princess sampan 

Mekong Princess, dedicated to gastronomic and short discovery cruises, offers a spacious shaded seating area for 20 passengers with optimal views of life on the river around Can Tho.

Cai Be Princess sampans 

Cai Be Princess, specializing in one-day cruises, are deluxe sampans designed with your comfort in mind. Loungers and chairs provide seating for up to 25 passengers in both shaded and outdoor areas.

  • Fruit and hot tea served on board
  • Escorted excursions ashore 
  • Bicycles available on board (if included in program)
  • Set Vietnamese menu lunch served at Le Longanier Restaurant 


Song Xanh sampans 

Song Xanh Sampan, dedicated mainly to overnight cruises, are decked out with all the amenities including one or two private cabins and a spacious bathroom.

  • Overnight cruises to Can Tho, Chau Doc or Rach Gia.
  • 2 or 3 cabins accommodating up to 6 overnight passengers
  • Fruit and hot tea
  • Escorted excursions ashore
  • Bicycles available on board
  • Small rowing boat for excursions 
  • Meals served on board (depending on itinerary): Breakfast cruise to floating market, set Vietnamese menu lunch or dinner

Breakfast Cruise 

Early risers can enjoy a beautiful buffet breakfast while cruising past stilted homes, women doing laundry and children playing football on the banks of the Hau River. Visit the Cai Rang floating market and cruise along canals that are the living arteries of the region, making a few stops to get a glimpse of daily life around the river. 

Dinner Cruise 

Enjoy an unforgettable dinner cruise on the Mekong Princess along the sparkling waterways. The menu prepared by our chef matches the exotic and relaxing ambiance of the cruise as life on the river continues late into the night and the fishermen get ready for late-night trawling.

One-day cruises

Away from the hustle and bustle of life on the Mekong’s main tributaries lies a world of pastoral harmony among the many tiny waterways that make up the Mekong Delta. Our Cai Be Princess sampan brings you closer to the life of the river people as you cruise amongst fields of water hyacinth, floating markets, boats loaded with fruit and vegetables and children playing in the river. 

Two-day cruises

Our two-day “Life on the River” cruise gives you a deeper insight into life in the Mekong Delta. Starting either from Cai Be or Can Tho, it stops for visits along the way.

Three-day cruises

Our three-day cruises give you an opportunity to explore three different areas in the Mekong Delta, depending on your next destination: 

  • Can Tho – the rice bowl of Vietnam
  • Chau Doc – on the border with Cambodia 
  • Rach Gia – the gateway to Phu Quoc.

Le Longanier Restaurant 

Nestled in a lush tropical garden, the exquisite colonial-style Le Longanier Restaurant offers the perfect en-route lunch stop for visitors to the Mekong Delta. The restaurant specializes in Mekong-style food combining fresh herbs, local vegetables and fruit, local sh and opens for lunch only. Reservations should be made in advance to ensure availability.
